The stabbings occurred in Turku City, Finland, on Friday, August 18, 2017. In the events that occurred in this Puutori-Market area, killing 2 civilians. While 6 others are currently being treated in hospital, they are said to be critical.

Currently, the Finnish Police say that the suspected stabbing perpetrator has been arrested after being shot in the foot.

The stabbings occurred just a day after the ISIS terrorist attack in Barcelona that killed 13 people and scores of others were injured.
