Taiwan lawmakers were involved in a mass fight in a trial on Tuesday 18, July 2017 about a controversial program that was re-planned by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), to build a light rail system across the island nation.

Initially, the trial took place in an orderly and safe manner. But the fight came when Hsu Shu-hua lawmaker from the Kuomintang Party (KMT) protested against the program. Then Chiu Yi-ying, a member of Parliament from the DPP party, approached her and began to argue. In fact, they seemed to pull each other and slap one another.
