The Malaysian government apologizes to Indonesia because shows Indonesia's flag as Poland's flag in SEA Games 2017 souvenir. This is conveyed by the Malaysian government through Malaysian Foreign Minister Anifah Aman.

"We regret the mistakes made by the Malaysian Organizing Committee (Masoc) over the publication of the reversed Indonesian flag".

"On behalf of the Malaysian Government, we would like to express our apology to the government and people of the Republic of Indonesia," said Anifah Aman.

In addition, Khairy Jamaluddin as Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports also apologized to Indonesia. He formally apologized through a letter to the Minister of Youth and Sport of Indonesia Imam Nahrawi.
